U.S.V.I. – The V Stands for VIBES
Anyone who has been following my travels for a while knows how passionate I am about the Caribbean. Not only is my family from this region of the world, but in my humble opinion it also boasts some of the most flavorful food and people (ha!), the most pristine beaches, produces the best music – reggae, dancehall and soca. I could go on and on. What is there not to love? If someone tells me that they don’t like visiting the Caribbean, I have to give them the side eye… or check

CUBA DONE RIGHT
For the young, professional traveler who loves new places. Cuba, a beautiful country of colors, amazing people, and while traveling there was iffy at first, it blew away all my reservations and expectations, and solidified that it’s imperative to travel with an open mind and little presumption. 7 Tips for Traveling To Cuba #1 TP is a luxury. They don’t flush it down the toilets, not all spots have it… so carry baby wipes and hand sanitizer… you’ll thank me later. #2 Food is D

48 HOURS IN TRINIDAD
Back in September when I got wind of a flight deal from New York to Trinidad around Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday timing, it was definitely one of those “book now and figure it out later” moments. Fast forward to the first wintery New York City day and I was so grateful to have a Caribbean escape in-pocket. Off we were, me and my boy Brian, to a little turn up in Trinidad and turn down in Tobago. I had long heard of Trinidad’s carnival as one of the largest in the world,

MY SECRET OASIS - SPICE ISLAND BEACH RESORT, GRENADA
During my recent trip to Grenada I had the opportunity to luxuriate for two days at the renowned, 6-star, Spice Island Beach Resort. Tucked beneath acres of swaying palms on Grand Anse Beach, everything about Spice Island Beach Resort is above and beyond what you expect from a luxury resort. The design aesthetic, the landscaping, amazing views, spacious private villas, perfectly prepared meals - but most importantly, the service level is to me what makes me crave the feeling

Fly Guys: Team Jones
Soul Society: Thanks for speaking with us today! Where do your currently reside and what do you do for a living? D Jones: Thanks for taking the time. I live in the District of Columbia (DC). I call it “District of Columbia” because you’ll be surprised how many people look at me with a glazed-over look when I say it all out. That’s just how I am though; Corky, Weird, Different… ME! I got here by-way of the Marine Corps. After being stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina fo

GRENADA CAN COOK! (AND I CAN EAT!)
At this point you should be very familiar with how much I enjoyed my trip to Grenada. I ate so good that I had to dedicate a post to the meals I had while on the island. I can't wait to go back and indulge even more. Here were some of my favorite meals in Grenada: Umbrella's Beach Bar - The very first meal that I had in Grenada was at Umbrella's. Located right on Grand Anse Beach, you can't ask for a better view from the top floor of the restaurant, which looks right onto the

9 REASONS WHY I FELL IN LOVE WITH GRENADA
What makes Grenada so exceptional is not easily translated into words or even captured in pictures. Structures aren't set up around the island for "cheesy" tourist photo ops. Even the most populated areas of the island still have a low-key, chill energy. There’s something so quaint and untouched about it, unlike any other island I’ve been to. An understated and simple beauty. Discovering Grenada is almost like discovering an amazing boutique that your peers don’t know about,
