20 Things To Do In LA
For those of us not from the West Coast, visiting Los Angeles has just as much of an allure around it as the rest of the world wants to experience New York City. We grew up on seeing The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Moesha in LA, to the Hollywood Star-studded events and the glamorous life of half of our celebrities. Where New York has big city, bright lights, the best clubs and restaurants, the grind and hustle and everything you could ever want within 5 minutes, Los Angeles has scenery, nature, open space, beaches, pools and the kick back chill life with perfect low-humidity weather year-round. The issue is, if you don’t know what to do in either city, you can get lost in tourist sauce and miss out on what all the hype is about. Here are all the things you should do to soak in the full Los Angeles experience and live like the West Siders do:
Things To Do In Los Angeles
Runyon Canyon – Take a hike and see one of the best views that Los Angeles has to offer.
Hollywood Club Crawl - Party at 4 of Hollywood’s most live nightlife spots all within walking distance of each other, for the price of 1 club! Can’t beat it. Club hopping at it’s finest.
Santa Monica Pier - Shopping, beaches, restaurants, bars and a mini-amusement park all in the same area. You can drive out and spend the entire day in one area and keep yourself entertained.
Beaches – If there’s anything LA has that most places in America don’t, it’s an abundance of beaches. Beaches galore. From Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica Beach, Venice Beach, Malibu Beach and so many others, be sure to lay & bake, have a picnic, do whatever you need to do but be sure to find the beach and get as black as you wanna be.
Swap Meets – Ye’en been to Los Angeles unless you’ve been to some swap meets. It’s part of the LA culture. Check out the Slauson Swap Meet, Alameda Swap Meet and so many more. For a full list, check it here.
Shopping On Melrose - Just throw it in the bag! From vintage boutiques to your favorite brands.
Places To Eat and Drink In Los Angeles
Bossa Nova - Words cannot accurately describe how amazing this Brazilian restaurant is to me.
Griddle Cafe - Red Velvet Waffles, Buttermilk Pancakes Drizzed in Cream Caramel and Pumpkin Filling & French Toast the size of your face.
Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles – I can never got to Los Angeles and NOT have Roscoe’s. Pasadena location is the best to keep it classy(ish.)
Yogurt-land - Over 40 flavors of frozen yogurt and toppings from gummy bears to Cap’n Crunch cereal. Tasty treat!
Carl’s Jr - Often overshadowed by the infamous In-N-Out Burger, Carl’s Jr’s “Big Carl” burger is my favorite fast food burger in the nation.
In N Out Burger – Guilty Pleasure. See What all the hype is about!
