Trill Cheesesteak - Philadelphia, PA
Most of the time I like to keep it classy, but every once in a while you gotta keep it hood, ya digg? When in Philly, if you don't get a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, you a crazy jawn *philly slang*
Now the issue is, with a cheesesteak every corner the same way there is a hotdog truck on every block in Midtown NYC, how do you know which cheesesteak to get? Word of advice, most of the time it's the cheesesteak off the beaten path that tastes the best.
To date, my favorite cheesesteak in Philadelphia is from a hole in the wall deli called Park Manor Delicatessen in the Germantown area. Though there are seats, it's by no means a "sit down" kind of restaurant. You order your steak sandwich with your preferred fixin's (mine are provolone, onions, peppers, mayo and ketchup) and you keep it moving.
Just be ready for a nap. #itis
