One Word, Fresh - Brooklyn, NY
One of my favorite brunch spots in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is EGG. It started off as a super small hole-in-the-wall brunch spot that when you entered, you automatically felt like you were in a fresh environment with fresh ingredients, and pleasantly greeted by staff who make you feel at home in the quaint space details with white exposed brick walls and wooden chairs. The only issue was that the restaurant was small and the patronage grew faster than they could handle, so likely no matter what time you showed up for brunch, you encountered a wait time of at least 45 minutes. That is, until recently when EGG moved locations to a larger space but managed to keep all the same quaint attributes that made it appealing to begin with. WIN!
Two blocks down, now on 3rd street, EGG has kept it's white wall, exposed brick space, paper table cloths that double as drawing paper (no really, they give you crayons to doodle while you wait - which also gives the quiet artist type their time to shine on a date) and everything else I loved. The food is made from organic ingredients, many of which is farm raised on their own farm. Everything I've ever had here is amazing: the brioche french toast, bacon, biscuit, cheese grits, pancakes. All hearty yet you feel like you're floating well you leave. One word - fresh!
