Peace Out - New Orleans, LA
New Orleans was a great time as usual! I got to eat so much amazing food, mix and mingle with so many celebs backstage at ESSENCE Festival, I had floor seats to see Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Mary J Blige, Trey Songz, Nas and the Purple Man himself - Prince. I got to take in the sites and culture. What I love most about New Orleans is that it seems like its own little country, with its own distinct culture, music, food and so much more. 
I stayed at the Westin Canal Street, which was 10-15 walking from the convention center, right next to the historic French Quarter, walking distance to a ton of restaurants (see list: BEST PLACES TO EAT IN NEW ORLEANS) close enough to be involved in the ratchet and debauchery of bourbon street and a quick 5 minute cab ride from the Mercedez Benz Superdome where all the concerts happen. I love Westin hotels, specifically because of their "heavenly beds" - such a good night sleep. Also, my room had a great view of the Mississippi river which was steps outside.
Photo'd above are my new camo cargo pants from Ralph Lauren's Denim & Supply. Love these bad boys and they put a new spin on my camo obsession. Much love and peace out Nawlins. I'll definitely be back.
