Soul Society 101: What are some places that your career has taken you travel-wise?

Renae: My career has taken me to all of the major U.S. cities: Chicago, L.A., Detroit, D.C., Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, you name it. If everything goes as planned, my career will also be taking me to Europe in 2015.

Soul Society 101: What's your favorite place you've traveled so far and why?

Renae: Rome. Hands down. It's magical, fascinating and timeless all rolled into one. The architecture is beautifully preserved and of course, the Italian food is THE best you'll ever experience in life.

Soul Society 101: What's your dream destination?

Renae: I'd have to say Paris because it's just so romantic and chic.

Soul Society 101: What are your travel essentials?

Renae: EDEN BodyWorks products (anything in the JojOba and Coconut Shea collections) along with my trusty diffuser in case I have to wash and start over while I'm away.

Soul Society 101: Are there any products that you absolutely can't live without?

Renae: I absolutely can not live without a good leave in conditioner. One of my long time favs is Sweet Ambrosia by Karen's Body Beautiful. My hair also desperately needs Ouidad's Double Detangler to survive wash day.

Soul Society 101: What are some of your favorite restaurants?

Renae: My favorite restaurant (of the moment), Pies -n- Thighs in Williamsburg, BK is far from fancy but they have the best chicken and biscuit sandwich in the Northeast. I also love their seasonal fried pickles with zesty cucumber sauce.

Soul Society 101: When it comes to brunch, are you a sweet girl, savory girl, or as long as it has unlimited drinks?

Renae: Is it OK to be a combination of the three? They're what I consider to be equally necessary!

Soul Society 101: Do you eat to live or live to eat?

Renae: I live to eat.

Soul Society 101: What's your favorite indulgence?

Renae: My favorite indulgence is a childhood treat I've always enjoyed - the root beer float. It's like heaven in a glass.
