BROOKLYN BRUNCH: PEACHES HOT HOUSE
One of my favorite brunch spots in Brooklyn is super low key. Peaches Hot House, sister restaurant to Peaches (both in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn) offers a unique take on southern, country breakfast in NYC. And is VERY affordable. As if Peaches main wasn't small enough, the Hot House is even smaller with an amazing rustic vibe that makes it feel more cozy and exclusive than small. My favorite is the granola crusted French toast with maple bourbon peaches. (Peaches are fruits, so this is healthy right?) Lawdamercy it's soooo good! I always get a side of southern style fried chicken and bacon, both exquisite. The menu is great for both brunch and dinner, though. A great burger with a slap of fried chicken on top, or meatloaf sandwich are also great options. Word to the wise, whenever you go, aim to get there off-peak hours otherwise you're almost guaranteed an hour wait, though it will be worth it.
