Tobago Jazz Festival 2016

Grammy® Award-winning Maxwell and Shaggy have been added to the 2016 cast for the annual Tobago Jazz Experience, dubbed “Much More than Music.” The nine-day festival is a celebration of jazz, the indigenous music of Tobago and new music from around the world set along the idyllic beaches of Tobago.

The duo will join Ms. Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, Arturo Tappin and Band, Etienne Charles, Third World, Roy Cape featuring Blaxx and a host of other local and regional singers at the festival.

Known as “the sexy ambassador of soul music”, Maxwell is famous for classics like “Sumthin’ Sumthin’,” “Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder)” and “Lifetime,” not to mention the unforgettably ethereal cover of Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work.” Maxwell is a highly acclaimed singer, songwriter and actor who has won Grammys® and has also been nominated for several more awards including best album of the year. In 2010, the artist won two Grammy® Awards for R & B album of the year, “BLACK Summers’ Night” and best male R & B vocal performance with the single “Pretty Wings”.

Shaggy is famous for songs like "Oh Carolina”, "Boombastic", "It Wasn’t Me" and "Angel". In 1996 he won a Grammy for best Reggae Album and has since had five Grammy® nominations. He has performed the world over thrilling audiences wherever he goes.
